In the Sewing Matrix the term FBA is not what regular Earth
people think it is. It’s not a kind of a fashion police either. It stands
for Full Bust Adjustment. It’s a pattern manipulation technique that allows you
to enlarge the cup size.

If you met me, you might have noticed I’m unlikely to need
full bust adjustment no matter the pattern. Good for me since it makes things way
easier. That’s the thing; most of sewing patterns are made for the B cup. For
those of you cursed with cups bigger than B, this technique will prove very useful,
typically if the garment feels awkward around the chest or the fabric pulls at
the front and is simply too tight in that area.

You can use this technique regardless of the cup size really,
I still make FBA in some patterns to add more fullness and – let’s not be
afraid to say it out loud – cheat a little and shape a more feminine
silhouette. Here’s how to do it!

Find those numbers

Always start with measurements. To determine your cup size
measure upper bust first. Then measure your full bust. The difference between
those two indicates your cup size.

If the difference
equals 1in you have the A cup, 2in is the B cup, 3in is the C cup, and so on.

Let’s assume that you’re size D. The pattern is for size B.
It means that you have to add 2in more around the bust (B=2in; D=4in <span lang="PL" style="font-family: "ms 明朝" , "serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Cambria; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: "MS 明朝"; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast;">→ 2in difference between B and D). Now that you know how
much you need to add, the question becomes what
size should you enlarge?

This is important since the pattern is designed for the B
cup. So if your bust measurement is 38in, subtract
those additional 2in (the difference between B and D) when choosing the
size. In this case you’d choose
36in, taking under consideration your true hip and waist measurements as you
would usually do. In other words, all else being equal, your bust would measure
36in with the B cup.

Muszę uzupełnić zapasy i zamówić go więcej zanim będzie za późno.
Wykrój na bluzkę to Lobelia Tee. Całe szycie zajęło mi dwie godziny. To zdecydowanie mój najprostszy wykrój. Możesz go uszyć rano i tego samego dnia założyć do pracy. Sew’n’go.
Przy okazji, zdradzę wam dobre wieści. Właśnie dodaję zapasy na szwy do wszystkich moich wykrojów. Dzięki temu szycie będzie jeszcze szybsze i łatwiejsze. Gdy tylko skończę wszyscy, którzy kupili moje wykroje wcześniej będą mogli otrzymać nowe wersje.

I decided to finally try and print custom fabric at Spoonflower. I made the drawing in Illustrator, chose Spoonflower’s cotton lawn and ordered 2 yards. Timing turned out to be perfect. I just got an email that they are withdrawing this fabric and it’s only going to be available until November and only to the clients that ordered it already. It’s a shame because this cotton lawn is fabulous. I must stock my stash up before it’s gone.
I used same old Lobelia Tee pattern for this project. The whole thing took me about two hours. It’s so simple, you can make it in the morning and wear it the same day to work - Sew’n’go.
I have some good news by the way! I’m adding seam allowances to all my patterns to make it even quicker and easier. I know most of you got used to having them included. I’ll keep you posted in this matter. Once it’s all ready, I’m happy to send new versions to all clients that bought the old ones.

In this part of Cosmos Dress Sew Along we are going to sew the sleeves and skirt to the bodice. In the next post I’ll also write about other easy skirt options you can choose instead of a full gathered skirt.
Last week we sewed darts, buttoned closure, side and arm seams of the bodice. Having all that we can now take up with sleeves.

Sleeves
Iron stay tape around the armholes.

Sew and serge side seams of the sleeves.

Sew their hems; simply double-fold the edge and topstitch.

Put sleeve inside the armhole. Pay attention to putting the right sleeve to the right armhole.

Pin with pins, starting from points 9, 10, 1 and 3. Baste the cap between two dots to fit it to the armhole. Unpin it and press with steaming iron to shrink the excess of fabric. Just like we did with the arm lines.

Pin it back and sew to the armhole.

Voila! It wasn’t so hard, right?

Repeat with second sleeve. We can now proceed to the skirt.

Gathered Skirt
Cut the pieces from the fabric. Long metal ruler and rotary cutter are super helpful here. Don’t forget to add seam allowance before you cut!

Sew side seams of front and backs and serge.

Iron stay tape to the lower edge of bodice.

Set your sewing machine on the longest stitch and baste the skirt’s upper edge (on seam allowance). Don’t sew in one long line; rather divide it in to a few. It’s easier to gather this way. Leave long tales of threads.

Pin the skirt to the bodice, right sides facing each other, in a couple of places. Match side seams and back centers of the bodice and the skirt.

Now pull those tails to fit the skirt to the bodice. You can tie them together to secure what you just gathered. Add some more pins along the edge.

You’re ready to sew it. After everything is sewn serge this edge and press it up on the bodice. Serge backs centers.

Zostałam wybrana do udziału w wyzwaniu Whip It Up organizowanym przez portal Sew Mama Sew oraz Ink and Arrow Fabrics. Kolekcja tkanin Whip It Up zawiera bawełny z kuchennymi nadrukami. Stąd temat wyzwania – Kitchen Linens (Tekstylia kuchenne).

I was so excited when I found out I was chosen for the Whip It Up Challenge organized by Ink and Arrow Fabrics and Sew Mama Sew. Seriously, I was over the moon. The Whip It Up collection contains kitchen-related cotton fabrics so our theme was to design Kitchen Linens. We could also use some of their Pixies fabrics.
After a little brainstorm I decided to make labels for jars. I made a couple of designs and settled on those two sets.

Cosmos Dress Sew Along starts today. If you don’t have the pattern yet, you can still grab it 30% off from Kollabora.
We’re going to start with preparing the pattern, adjustments and sewing the bodice.
Next Monday, April 25 we’ll continue with sewing the sleeves in and attaching skirt to the bodice. I’ll show you how to sew a few skirt options. We’ll finish on Thursday, April 28, with sewing the zipper and stand collar.

Print the pattern and stick it together. Remember to print the page with a test square first. Make sure it’s 2in by 2in (5cm by 5cm).
Now, after you chose the proper size for you, add seam allowance. Yes, before you cut the pattern pieces out. I prefer to use 1 cm seam allowance but most people add 1.5 cm. It’s up to you. After you trace it around on the paper, you can finally cut it.
I strongly recommend starting with muslin before you cut your precious fabric. You don’t have to go through all the details sewing the muslin. To be honest, it’s enough if you just check the shape of the bodice.
The most common adjustment is changing the bra cup size. My patterns are drawn for B cup. If you feel that bodice is a little awkward around the bust and wrinkles closer to the armpit, try to fix it by making FBA (Full Bust Adjustment). You can find a tutorial here.

Let’s start sewing!
Cut all pattern pieces out of the fabric.
Cut the bodice opening like on the picture here (fig. 2 on the instruction) and put some no fray glue in the corners. Give it a little time to dry.

Sew the darts in the front and the back and iron them flat (bust darts up, vertical darts toward the center).

Iron interfacing on half of each placket (fig. 1 on the instruction).

Put the right side of the placket to the right side of the front and align its interfaced edge to the edge of the opening.
Sew from the neckline to the end point of the opening.

Press seam allowances toward plackets like on the picture.

Mark your seam allowance on the other edge of the placket and press it with iron.

Fold it again such that the loose edge just covers the stitch.

Pin it from the right side.

Topstitch from the right side of the fabric. It’s easier if you move your needle slightly to the right (as far as you want the top stitch to be from the placket’s edge) and lead the center of the foot along the placket’s edge.

Put the right placket on top of the left one and secure with a pin.

Do you see the hole at the bottom of the plackets? Slip plackets’ ends inside the hole together with the small triangle part of the front so they stick out on the wrong side of the bodice.
Pin all those layers together like on the picture; sew across and serge.

Tada! Plackets are almost ready. You will still need to sew buttons and buttonholes. We’ll get back to that later.
Align the back and front right sides together; sew side seams and serge.

To ease the shoulder lines pin them together first matching points 3 and 4. You’ll see that back’s shoulder is longer than front’s.

Baste back shoulder and pull the thread so it fits the front. Make a knot to keep it this way.

Unpin it and press basted line with stemming iron (only back). It may take you a couple of minutes. You want to shrink the excess fabric. Remember to always use temperature suited for the fabric you’re using.

Once you get rid of all those bumps pin it with front again and sew. Take the basting stitches out after that. Serge.

That was quite a busy beginning of the year I have to say. I disappeared for a moment from Facebook and Instagram to dive into preparations of new patterns. Finally I can unveil my newest one! Meet Cosmos Dress.
It’s the perfect choice for every season thanks to its three sleeves options. The dress is fitted on top and has a full gathered skirt. It conceals too wide or too narrow hips, which seems to describe almost all of us ;). The pattern features front buttoned closure, stand collar and back zipper.

Since I shared this picture a lot of people asked me how it is made. Here is how!
First of all, you need a frame but not the ones that you sew to the fabric. I noticed there are two major kinds. One has a tunnel only for upper edges of the purse. The other has a tunnel all around the purse’s opening. I used the first one and further description is based on this kind.
So you have a frame. What’s next? The pattern. It’s very easy. Actually, what you attach to the frame is just a tote. You sew it from a rectangular piece of fabric. Look at the picture to estimate the width. The length is up to you.
Fallow Step by step pictures to sew one.

Next step is to glue the tote to the frame. I was advised to use the E6000 glue. It’s supposedly super strong and stays elastic after drying. Applying it straight from the tube might be tricky though. You want to be precise and not make a mess all over the frame. To achieve that I used those glue syringes, which you can find on Amazon.

Najpierw musisz zaznaczyć szerokość ramki na torebce. Następnie zagiąć tkaninę do środka w wyznaczonych punktach i spiąć szpilkami. Klejenie było znacznie łatwiejsze, gdy położyłam ramkę na stole i wsunęłam uszytą torebkę trzymając ją dnem do góry. Klej musi schnąć przez 24 godziny.

First, mark the length of your frame in the middle of each side of your tote. Then fold sides to the inside like on the picture and secure it with pins. I found gluing easier to do if I put the frame on a table and slide the tote upside down to the tunnel. After that you let it dry for at least 24 hours.

Kiedy klej dobrze wyschnie, możemy docisnąć ramkę do tkaniny.

Once it’s dry you can clamp the frame. There’s quite a debate about this step on the Internet. Some people only use glue (which I did to be honest) and find it efficient enough. Others say it’s not reliable and it’s always better to clamp a frame. I still have one frame left and will try to crimper the fabric into the frame. I did some googling and found tools on Etsy. For example this one. I’ll let you know how it went.

W projekcie chciałam uniknąć widocznych szwów i dać torebce czysty wygląd.

Próbowałam przyszyć ją równo do jednego z brzegów. Pół centymetra mniej było by w sam raz.

While still in Vancouver a year ago, I went to Dressew and found this leather. On clearance! I ended up paying about $12 CAD for the whole big piece. It stood its time in the queue and here is what eventually I was able to make of it.

This is my first attempt with sewing this kind of material. I honestly thought that it’s much harder. It turned out to be doable for a layman using a domestic sewing machine. Here are my thoughts.

First of all, sewing and preparing leather requires some special tools. I got away without using them but it would hopefully make it easier to sew and look more professional. I might buy some of them for future projects. I used quite a lot of leather cement to put my design together. It’s elastic after drying and super strong. I made some tests and tried to rip glued scrap pieces apart. While I managed to do it, I had to use a lot of force.

The leather needle is definitely a must have. At first I forgot to change the universal one (80) and broke it after a few stiches. I also used a special thread for leather – it’s stronger and much thicker. To reinforce the whole thing, I put some plastic canvas inside. I don’t like purses that are soft and don’t hold their shape. For the nice edge finish, I applied Edge Coat with wooden dauber at the end.

There are things that went wrong, obviously. It mostly concerns the lining. I tried to sew it nicely to the front edge but manipulating such a small and stiff shape was hard. You can see the crooked seam on the pictures so you get what I mean ;) I decided to glue the other edge of the lining to avoid the same problem.

I don’t like when there is too much lining inside a purse or a bag. It looks sloppy. To avoid that, I wanted to make lining 5 mm shorter in length and width. While width manipulation worked perfectly, I somehow made the length shorter than the planned 5 mm. So now the clutch looks a bit bigger than it is inside. Fortunately that’s not a big problem.

Chciałabym wam
przedstawić mój pierwszy wykrój krawiecki, dostępny w sprzedaży w formacie PDF.
Camellia to ołówkowa, klasyczna spódnica.
prawej strony tkaniny.

Instrukcje zawierają
szczegółowy opis szycia krok po kroku. Nie czujecie się na siłach na szycie
zaawansowanych wykrojów? Nie bójcie się wyzwań, najwięcej nauczycie się
wychodząc z waszej strefy komfortu. 21 rysunków dołączonych do instrukcji

I’d like to present you my very first sewing pattern available for purchase in PDF format.
Camellia is a pencil skirt classic. It’s simple yet features details that catch the eye. The pattern looks easy but it actually requires advanced skill. Its difficulty lays in the precision needed while folding the pleats. Moreover, one of the pleats is sewed to the lining. This allows it to stay in place and lay flat without a visible seam on the right side of the fabric.

Don’t be intimidated though. The instructions consist of a detailed sewing description and 21 drawings to guide through the process, from cutting the fabric to hemming the complete skirt. Think outside the box, step out of your comfort zone and sew it. It’s fun.

My patterns will best fit women from a rectangle body shape to an hourglass body shape.

The pattern is available on Etsy.com and Craftsy.com.

Będą dostępne do wydruku w plikach PDF. Pierwszy, krótki instruktarz o przyszywaniu podszewki do rozcięcia z tyłu spódnicy znajdziecie tutaj.
As you might have noticed, I’m working on my very own sewing patterns. They will be available as PDF files. I still have a lot of work to do to make it happen. The step I’m on now is to prepare sewing instructions. I’m making tons of pictures to make sewing as easy as possible. Let me share some of them. I thought that making a few tutorials with pictures I already made is a good idea.

W ostatnim poście pisałam o dużym potencjale tego wykroju. Można go dowolnie stylizować i zaszaleć z tkaninami.

In my last post I wrote that this pattern is very versatile and you can go wild with fabric. To give some examples I sewed two more Lilium dresses.
I dyed the fabric for the blue one myself using the Jacquard Indigo Tie Dye Kit and decided to try making it ombré following this technique. Everything would work just as planned if I didn’t do what she explicitly said not to – I folded the fabric in half. That’s where the darker streaks come from. In the end I ended up liking the unexpected pattern even more.

The white dress is sewn from the same fabric as the blue one. I skipped the bow and thought about adding two big pockets under the waistline. The pockets didn’t happen eventually but I think it would give the dress a nice, more casual look. After sewing the darts but before assembling the front and the back I painted some monochrome dandelions and small meadow flowers using glitter fabric paint.

I was thinking about making a sheath dress for some time. I have a few in my closet and love them. They are comfortable and versatile. So here it is, my own version of a sheath dress. Modest with a little twist. There are endless possibilities with styles. You can make it solid, or printed, or even paint the fabric yourself. You can make it with and without the bow. You can cut it in pieces and use more than one fabric. You can treat the front, thanks to no darts, as a surface for uninterrupted prints. The dress is not too tight or too loose. It gives a nice shape, at the same time allowing easy movement. I’m going to show you a few more possible styles soon. The pattern in PDF will be available for purchase soon.

I wanted to make this dress in red or other bold color from the very beginning. I dug this fabric out of my bottomless closet instead. My husband says it looks like there’s oil stains on it. The cheeky comment didn’t stop me though. I like it anyway. The pattern still needs some improvements. I’m working on it intensively as I would like it to be as comfortable as an every-day-dress. It actually makes me wake up at 7AM to run straight to my workroom before anyone else in the house wakes up. Yes, sewing is a serious addiction but I’m sure it’s worth it.

Przy szyciu wykorzystałam też rady Susann K. Cleveland z książki „Impeccable Piecing”, dzięki czemu szycie poszło mi wyjątkowo gładko i bez większych stresów.

About a month ago, not long after my visit to Texas, one of my friends had her baby shower organized. Baby showers are not really a tradition in Poland so I’ve never been to one before. I was told that I could bring any gift or just use a registry she made. Obviously, I decided to make something for her baby myself. Every baby deserves a quilt. I didn’t have much time, only five days, and this is what came up. I used my stash and still have enough scraps to make probably ten more quilts like this (everyone addicted to fabric shopping can picture my closet, right?). The pattern was designed by Karen Weber; it’s called „Circles, Circles” and you can find it in the book „Batik Quilts”. I also used tips and tricks from Susann K. Cleveland’s book (more about it here) and it all worked great. Piecing was never so unstressful.

I made the pattern for this skirt myself. I was working on it a few weeks ago. Actually I made three versions at first but decided to sew only this one. Front is made from one piece which is secured to lining. It has a close-to-body pencil shape but thanks to a slit on the back it is possible to make a big step in it. The fabric is the craziest I have ever used. It looks so innocent but the stripes just make your eyes hurt during sewing. The print is just too busy and it’s very distracting. I finally took some pictures on a dress form as we couldn’t get it done past weeks and now my husband (and my photographer) is out of town.

Two weeks ago I mentioned QuiltCon. During the last months I just couldn’t wait to go there. So I went, saw everything and now I’m on my way home with a suitcase full of fabric and a head full of ideas and new knowledge.
It was quite an event! Sorry for my overexcitement but I simply can’t help it. I saw many quilts at close, made with precision and a huge dose of imagination. Let’s start with them. These are my favorites.

As I wrote earlier each attendee could sign up for lectures and workshops. The only workshop I managed to get a ticket for was about binding. Susan K. Cleveland was our teacher. The workshop was excellent. Susan showed us a few tricks that make sewing easier and effect more predictable. We found out what to pay attention to while attaching binding to the quilt. You can check out her website here.
I liked the tutorial so much that I bought the tool she invented for precise piecing and the thin book of instructions that goes with it.

Victoria to charyzmatyczna kobieta o artystycznym wykształceniu.

I also took multiple lectures about finding inspiration, creativity, copyrights, sewing technics and teaching. I enjoyed the presentation of Victoria Findlay Wolfe the most from all of these.
Victoria is a charismatic woman with fine art background. She shared a story about how she started sewing growing up on a farm in U.S. Her biggest inspirations are quilts that her grandma made. You can easily see that looking at her pieces. I sew them before but I rather thought about them as ”not in my taste”. However after getting to know the story behind them and the technique used to make them, I changed my mind. Now I’m amazed at her work. Click here to find Victoria’s website.

When I was in Austin I heard a few times that quilters are simply very nice people. And you know what? They really are.

Każdy, kto kiedyś zaczynał szycie i robi to do dzisiaj, pewnie wie, jakie to uzależniające.

To, o czym chciałam wam dzisiaj napisać to inne świetne źródło szyciowych informacji. Usłyszałam o nim po raz pierwszy w Vancouver po dołączeniu do The Modern Quilt Guild. Chodzi o QuiltCon.

Everyone who starts sewing discovers how addictive it is. Soon you want to know more and more, you look for new books, articles, tutorials and talk with more experienced people. All of these are the key to knowledge and you can gather information at a pace suitable for you.

I must say I’m not a super fast learner. It took me many years of trial and error to get to decent results. Even now I still strive to improve and think that I can do better. That’s the thing, the more you know the more you realize how much you still don’t know. The other matter is that when I started sewing it wasn’t as popular as it is now. Polish resources were very limited. I think they still are but it’s going in the right direction.

I want to introduce you to another great sewing resource called QuiltCon. I heard about it for the first time in Vancouver after joining The Modern Quilt Guild. QuiltCon is an international conference dedicated for quilters and organized by the Guild. This year it takes place in Austin, TX and kicks off in a week. I’m very excited as it’s going to be the first sewing conference that I’ll attend.

The conference used to be biennial but from this year it’s going to be organized every year. It includes workshops, lectures, vendors and quilt show with prizes. Organizers claim it’s going to gather 10,000 quilters from around the world. I signed up for a few lectures every day and one workshop. I didn’t realize how quick you have to be with signing up. Just two hours after the registration was opened most of the workshops were already fully booked! Anyway I’m going to attend:

Once you signed up for the conference you also had a chance to submit a quilt for the quilt show and take part in many challenges with prizes. I have no doubt that it is worth to attend just to see these beautiful works of members.

Wybieranie koralików i łańcuszka zajęło mi zdecydowanie więcej czasu niż samo robienie :D

The color of this skirt is my new favorite. I like how it goes with beige and brown. It’s quite versatile I must say. Looks nice even with purple. The skirt is sewn from two rectangular, pleated pieces. Not too easy and not too hard to sew. The fabric is a bit bulky and thick. Thinner one would probably give the waist a nicer and more profiled look. On the other hand this one doesn’t wrinkle. I got it from a friend back in Vancouver but it waited over four months in my stock before I set it free.

I also made a peacock feather pendant. Choosing the right beads and chain took me more time than actually making it :D

I sat in front of my laptop thinking of what to write long enough to decide I should start with pictures first. I promised to show this shirt ages ago. I drafted the pattern myself. Mieszkamy w Redwood Shores w Kalifornii. Dziwne uczucie – móc wyjść na zewnątrz w środku zimy, w letnim płaszczu i balerinach. Stachu zaczął już chodzić do nowej szkoły, więc w końcu mogę wrócić do moich codziennych zajęć.

December was intense. I paid a brief visit to Poland. The Christmas break started so I had Stanley full time at home. Most importantly, we moved to a new place! No more Canada for us. The year in Vancouver was the most adventurous I’ve ever had and I’m going to miss this perfect place and all of our friends who stayed there. However, the new spot is not bad at all. We live in Redwood Shores, CA now. What an odd feeling to go outside in January wearing a spring jacket and shoes.
Stanley already started attending school so I can finally go back to my daily routine.

Oto jeden z nich. Bluzka prosta i wygodna. Bardzo ją lubię. Łatwa do szycia i w wydaniu amerykańskim czytelnie opisana. Za mną plaża The Incinerator Rock, która jest częścią The Long Beach.

Two weeks ago, when the weather wasn't as grumpy as it is today, we went to Tofino on Vancouver Island. It's not too far but you need to take a ferry to get there and it costs you some time. The place makes up for all inconveniences. It's just simply amazing. My favorite in British Columbia so far. I've never seen beaches like there before; wide and so shallow that a thin layer of water cuts very far into the land. It looks and feels like you were walking on water.
Back in June I decided to sew as many Burda Style magazine's projects as I could. This is one of them. We didn't have time to take pictures back then so here they are. I like this blouse. It's comfortable, easy to sew and instructions were clear. Behind me on the photo you can see The Incinerator Rock Beach; part of The Long Beach.

To dość kosztowna i długa podróż.

I sewed this dress in the best of all colors –my favorite from the very beginning – green. It was back in August. We struggled for most of the summer if we should or shouldn’t visit Poland. It’s a long and expensive trip for a family. I really wanted to go to see our family and friends, most importantly to witness one of my best friend’s wedding. So we couldn’t decide the entire June and the entire July and finally bought tickets in August, a mere week before our flight! I didn’t have much time left to sew a dress for this wedding. That’s why I chose simple but bold in color design. I drafted the pattern by myself. I like how it looks when I spin; it’s perfect for dancing. The only thing I’m not very happy about is the quality of the fabric. It’s 100% polyester. I always look for natural fibers but in this case I compromised because the color was exactly like I wanted.

No cóż, następnym razem będę wiedzieć lepiej ;)

Summer is ending but it doesn’t feel like it in Vancouver. I love this place for its sunny Septembers (locals claim that it’s usually rainy though at this time of a year ;) ).
The striped dress was a quick, one-day project. It doesn’t have any darts and the fabric is stretchy. I did one mistake though. Before I cut the fabric I didn’t notice that the print has an up and down side. I cut up side down one part of my pattern and on a side of the dress only bold, black stripes meet. Oh well, next time I will know better ;)

Łatwe i szybkie do uszycia. Rozmiar 36 okazał się leżeć idealnie. Nic nie zmieniałam.

I have a huge pile of Burda Style magazines. Lots of them don’t even have the pattern sheets taken out. However, I couldn’t resist buying a new one. This time I’ll treat it differently though. My plan is to challenge myself and sew as many of the designs as I can in one month and simply try them out: do the patterns need many adjustments; do they fit well; are the instructions easy to understand.

Here is the first batch. During one week I managed to sew four models:

103 shirt with cowl neckline

I’m not very satisfied with this blouse. Instructions how to put pieces together were very unclear for me. I did it my way. Size 36 was a bit too big so I narrowed it by 4 cm each side.

124, 123 shorts

Two easy and quick to sew patterns. Size 36 was perfect. I didn’t have to change anything.

120 tunika

Zmniejszyłam go o 10 cm z każdego boku.

120 tunic with tucks

I enjoyed sewing it. Sewing tucks is time-consuming but the final look is well worth it. My only gripe with the pattern was that I had to narrow size 36 by 10 cm both sides. Incredible waste of fabric ;)

Oto jest: skończona, gotowa do noszenia kurtka. Zwykle jeżdżę rowerem w obrębie miasta. Traktuję go jako środek transportu, zamiast jeżdżenia komunikacją miejską.
Wprowadziłam też kilka małych zmian do wykroju: dodałam guziki, zmniejszyłam kołnierzyk i przerobiłam kieszenie.

Here it is; finished and ready to wear. I usually cycle around the city, just to get somewhere instead of taking a bus. That’s why I needed something comfortable enough, which doesn’t look like a tracksuit.
The pattern comes from Burda 10/2012. Recommended material was imitation leather. I changed it for fabric more suitable for me - wool. I also added buttons, made the collar a bit smaller, and changed the pocket design.

P.s. W ten sposób możecie przerobić wykrój dowolnej, podstawowej bluzki.
Hi there! First of all I wanted to thank you for all your feedback under my previous post. It got 100 likes in total (on the Facebook fan page and on the blog post). I really appreciate it; it’s my fuel to keep on going and makes my days brighter.
I’m sitting on my balcony in the middle of Vancouver listening to this

P.S. You can adjust any simple pattern this way for a blouse.
