Kocyk

Uszyłam kocyk dla mojego syna. Na spodniej stronie znalazł się polar z Ikei. Muszę przyznać, że jego wzór jest ciekawy, jednak jakość mogłaby być lepsza. Nie zaszkodziłoby gdyby, był bardziej miękki. Wierzch uszyłam z bawełny. Prostokątny kawałek białej tkaniny wykorzystałam jako tło. Na nie naszyłam kolorowe krople, wycięte z tkanin kupionych w Nitka Café.

I sewed a blanket for my son. The underside is made of blue fleece from Ikea. I have to admit that it has an interesting pattern; unfortunately its quality is not the best. It could be softer. The upper side is sewn from cotton. One rectangular piece of white fabric makes the background. I sewed some colorful drops on it, cut out from fabric that I bought in Nitka Café.

Filcowa torba

Mimo, że upały to nie sezon na filcowe torby, uszyłam jedną ostatnio. Zamówiła ją moja koleżanka – Natalia. Opisała mi dokładnie, jak chciałaby, żeby torba wyglądała. Także sowia zawieszka jest jej pomysłem.
Wewnątrz pasiastej, bawełnianej podszewki umieściłam dużą kieszeń. Całość jest zapinana na suwak.
Widziałam bardzo dużo podobnie wyglądających filcowych toreb, ale rozumiem wielbicieli tej tkaniny. Jest przyjemna i łatwa do szycia. Ja najbardziej cenię jej sztywność. Został mi jeszcze spory kawałek. Na pewno wykorzystam go w bliskiej przyszłości ☺

It’s hot summer so maybe not the season for felt bags, yet. However, I sewed one lately. My friend Natalia ordered it for herself. She gave me instructions on how she wants the bag to look like. The pendant owl was also her idea. Inside the striped cotton lining I placed a big pocket. A zipper closes the bag. There are a lot of look-alike felt bags but I understand felt lovers ;) This is a really nice fabric that is easy to sew. What I like most is its stiffness. I still have a sizable piece of it so I’m definitely going to use it in the near future ☺
